Within this city, countless musical acts perform across various genres, including electronic music. YES! Even electronic music…the genre with a smaller music community; however, a passionate music community. Cleveland is home to a variety of music venues and halls, but where can you find the spots for the electronic junkies surrounding, or visiting, the Cleveland area? Well, there is a lot more going-on within Cleveland and its music scene then a person unfamiliar with this city would think. I’m going to narrow down THE TOP 6 places to fulfill your electronic desires and needs in Cleveland, hang tight you are about to be amazed at the music experience you can have right here.

1. Agora Theatre and Ballroom

The Agroa, located on Euclid Ave. in Downtown Cleveland, is a HOT spot to fill all the electronic music your ears need. Recently, on February 16, Space Jesus played the 8th Annual Radiate Event at The Agora and threw down the house through a stimulating, visual, and exciting performance. Don’t want to stand the entire show? Head up to the balcony for prime viewing of the stage, with comfortable seating! There is no bad angle at this venue. Henry LoConti Sr. opened the first Agora concert club on February 27, 1966 in Cleveland and since then, the venue has become a major part of Cleveland’s music history.

2. House of Blues

House of Blues, located next to the heart of Downtown CLE’S East 4th Street, is THE ultimate night out. This Rock n’ Roll’ themed venue and restaurant has, personally, been the venue I’ve attended the most shows since emerging into the CLE music scene two years ago. From Snails, Seven Lions, to Big Wild, a variety of electronic artists make their way to House of Blues in Cleveland, which can hold up to 1200 people.

3. B-Side Liquor Lounge

Named Best of Cleveland 2017 Best Club for Electronic Music, and located directly below the world-famous Grog Shop, B Side offers a supreme location to grab a drink and dance your night away. “When you take that step, it’s kind of exciting because there are only so many people involved in bringing those national electronic acts in town,” stated Gregg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, in a clevelandscene article, “I think that was the most immediate advantage. I think in a city the size of Cleveland; people are down to help each other out.” Check-out B-Side Liquor Lounge for deep bass lines that roar throughout the venue.

4. Beachland Ballroom & Tavern

The Beachland opened its doors on March 2, 2000 by Cindy Barber and Mark Leddy, who worked together to convert the old Croatian Liberty Hall on Waterloo Rd. to the electric live music venue it is today. Most nights, the establishment runs two separate shows, a full kitchen, offers an extensive and affordable beer selection, and even a vintage show in its basement, This Way Out. Boogie T, one of the hottest names in the EDM circuit, will be performing his mix of electronic beats with live guitar on Wednesday April 3, at the Beachland. 5. Grog Shop

Striving to showcase live music seven days a week, 365 days a year, the Grog Shop is located in the Coventry Rd. neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. This venue hosts countless local, national, and international touring acts and performances since September of 1992. Along with being the host of multiple electronic music performances; in March 2018, Panic! at the Disco thrilled Cleveland with a surprise show at the Grog Shop.

6. Mahalls

In a suburb of Cleveland, Lakewood, this old-school bowling alley counters as a live music venue and performing space is your guarantee for a good time. The main stage is the former billiard room that was converted into a music venue in 2012. This venue host more local artists; however, it still gives you that electronic music taste you need, along with an unforgettable venue experience. Established in 1924 by the Mahall family and has been serving the party community of Cleveland for almost a century. Mahall’s host various downtempo nights, mirroring the underground scene of the 90’s. Bowling and music? What more could you ask for?
